Pharos bundles SDIO GPS receiver with StarCaddy GPS golf yardage and rangefinding software
LinksPoint, the creator of StarCaddy Golf GPS yardage and range finding software and Pharos Science & Applications Inc., a leading provider of portable GPS navigation and location-based services, today announced the release of an exclusive bundle package including Pharos’ GPS receivers, and StarCaddy software targeted at the golf enthusiast market.

* Information on tees, yardage and handicap for each hole.
* Full color digital course maps available for thousands of courses.
* Electronic scorecard keeps track of score and side bets.
* StarCaddy offers a Compact Flash GPS receiver for highly accurate position and distance information
* StarCaddy is available for Pocket PC and Palm OS.
Avid golfers will be pleased with the results of the Pharos iGPS-SD Receiver, said George Varela, sales manager of Pharos. It can dramatically help knock strokes off their golf game by more accurately accounting for the yardage between them and the hole.
StarCaddy takes full advantage of Pharos’ iGPS-SD Receiver’s capabilities to turn PDAs into the ultimate tool for accurate golf yardages, said Chris Rising, StarCaddy Marketing Manager. The fact that it is the first GPS receiver to use the SDIO slot opens up GPS and StarCaddy to a new audience of Pocket PC users.
StarCaddy is the best investment I've made since I purchased custom clubs, said Tom Pearson, a StarCaddy customer in the US Southeast. I play my home course 200 times per year. I shaved 4 strokes off my game the first time out with StarCaddy.
