Thales Navigation announces the availability of the Magellan Meridian Color GPS Mariner product bundle for the complete marine navigation solution in a pocket-sized, top-of-the-line handheld. Customers get the ultimate Meridian Color GPS receiver, the first to present all your positioning and navigational information in full color, plus the highly detailed Magellan MapSend BlueNav marine cartography software for North America. The package also includes a 32 MB Secure Digital memory card, swivel mounting bracket, PC data cable with cigarette lighter adapter, and two AA batteries for up to 13 hours of continuous use.
Magellan MapSend BlueNav software includes 83 local North America navigational charts, offering a complete range of detailed marine cartography, providing large, highly detailed coverage areas and enhanced marine navigation information, including marine currents, tides, port services and much more.
The Meridian Color features a 120 x 160 pixel, 16-color backlit display and a backlit keypad for easy viewing and operation, day or night, in your boat, vehicle or RV. An optional external antenna provides boaters and recreational vehicle owners with a more reliable navigation solution for safer travel. Accurate to within 3 meters, the 12-channel Meridian Color receiver contains a built-in 16 MB map database of highways, major roads, parks, waterways, airports, cities and marine navigation aids, such as fixed and floating buoys, obstructions, wrecks, lighthouses and marinas. Weighing only 8-ounces with a waterproof, slip-resistant housing that floats, the Meridian Color offers an expandable memory using industry-standard Secure Digital memory cards for downloading not only marine charts, but topography and street detail as well.
