Lowrance Lands In-Boat With In-Fisherman TV
Lowrance Electronics, Inc., the world leader in recreational sonar and
GPS technology since 1957, has announced, that beginning in 2004, it will become the official and
exclusive marine electronics sponsor for the highly successful In-Fisherman television series.
As a major
sponsor of In-Fisherman TV, Lowrance sonar and GPS products will be featured prominently within the
television series during 2004–2005 on The Outdoor Channel, Fox Sports Network, RFD Cable and select
other broadcast stations, delivering a total coverage of over 20 million households. The sponsorship also
includes significant In-Fisherman radio and website exposure for Lowrance.
It’s a fantastic partnership, one that will greatly enhance our exposure within the critical northern walleye
and bass markets, said Bob Callaway, VP of Marketing for Lowrance. It’s a natural extension of our highly
valued, long-term sponsorship of the Professional Walleye Trail and will help maximize our investment
in and support of walleye and bass anglers who have long been avid users of our cutting-edge, fish-finding
and GPS technologies. Callaway continued, the In-Fisherman television series will offer us the huge
advantage of reaching, educating and entertaining the hard-core angling community with our latest and
greatest sonar and GPS/mapping tools.
Lowrance Electronics has been the leading designer and marketer of
high-quality sportfishing sonar and Global Positioning System
mapping instruments for over 46 years. The company's sonar
products graphically display underwater information and are used primarily by sport fishermen and
boaters. New big-screen, 256-color, combination sonar/GPS+WAAS
mapping products such as the Lowrance LCX-104C have been
extremely well received by avid walleye anglers because of the
superb target differentiation, detail and target separation, as well as
excellent readability in direct sunlight produced by these products.
At the same time, the GPS+WAAS
mapping features permit users to determine their precise locations on water or land within 3 meters.
Lowrance was also the first to introduce innovative memory card versatility in their products, permitting
anglers to record sonar graphs and GPS trip details, or to load custom detailed electronic mapping onto
compact, non-proprietary digital cards for navigational display.
