Central Tracking Services Joins with Topaz3 to make Big Tracks in Vehicle Tracking Industry
Central Tracking Services, a local company based in Burnsville, has teamed up with Topaz3 of Kansas City, MO to form a new division named ComStar that will specialize in Automatic Vehicle Location tracking services and take it nationwide!
ComStar AVL services combines Global Positioning Satellite technology with proprietary vehicle tracking transponders to provide an easy to use system that allows users to see their vehicles on detailed maps and know exactly where they are and also where they have been. By knowing where each vehicle is, business owners and fleet managers can accomplish a wide range of management functions and improve customer service - all easily and surprisingly inexpensive. Companies already enjoying the benefits of AVL services include contractors from many industries, security companies, transportation companies, emergency services, tow trucks, delivery vehicles of all types, technical service companies, construction and many others.
Mike Hartell, General Manager of ComStar, and one of the company founders of CTSI, was instrumental in creating this high tech solution. Our goal was to provide business owners with a tool that will add profit and improve customer service of their company, says Hartell. By knowing where each vehicle is and where it is going, it is easy to manage the daily workflow for an employee and the vehicle much more effectively, reducing the cost of operation and improving the bottom line.
ComStar Fleet management software is as useful as it is easy to use. Clear and up-to-date maps with easy to use tool bars and icons make zooms, pans, close ups, address locations and finding a vehicle very easy and fast. You can also find addresses, plot frequent job sites and regular stops.
Historical data is very important to a fleet manager, and ComStar has great vehicle history reports that can be accessed one of two ways. Visually on the map, a time period can be specified and then each check-in point for a vehicle will be visually displayed on the map. Also, customers can log-on to the ComStar website and view, print and database, any vehicles' history up to 60 days in the past. And something very few other AVL providers do is to archive data past the initial 60 day window so that a customer could get complete history with a simple request. These reports can be used to verify stops, on time delivery and employee accuracy in time cards and route efficiency.
ComStar AVL service is sold through an authorized network of installing dealers who are uniquely qualified to work with this new technology, and have shown a proven track record of superior customer satisfaction. Dealers offer local service and support. They can also provide in-vehicle demos to potential customers at no charge, stated Michael Simacek the Market Development Manager for ComStar. This way the customer can actually watch their vehicle drive away right on the screen of their office computer, and try the service before they buy it.
