SAIC Team Awarded GPS Technical Support Services Contract

Science Applications International Corporation's Space and Defense Group has been awarded a contract with ARINC Incorporated to provide technical and integration services to the Global Positioning System Joint Program Office at the U.S. Air Force Space and Missiles Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif.

The contract has a total ceiling value of $130 million over five years. The SAIC team includes Aegis Research of Falls Church, Va.; Teledyne-Brown Engineering of Huntsville, Ala.; Overlook Systems Technologies of Vienna, Va.; and DUCOM Inc. of Silver Spring, Md.

SAIC's technologists have been providing engineering solutions expertise to the GPS JPO for more than 27 years since the program's inception, said Dorian De Maio, SAIC Space and Defense Group senior vice president. Our team will provide immediate access to GPS technologists, tools and facilities that will assist the GPS JPO in its mission to acquire and sustain survivable, effective and affordable global positioning, navigation and timing services.
